Why Do I Have a Pain in My Back?

The truth is that back pain is a very common problem even for young and fit individuals. Back pain may occur after long periods of sitting as well as after an intense exercise session. Back pain could also simply appear without any apparent reason.

A lot of back pain comes from spending too much time sitting. When we are seated for extended periods of time our muscles do not move enough and our spines take the brunt of the pressure. The longer this pressure builds upon the spine the more stiff and sore you will become.

You don’t always need to be physically active to have back problems either. Activities like heavy lifting and repetitive movements can also cause damage to the back. Another common mistake many make when they engage in physical activity is doing so incorrectly.

Generally speaking, there are rarely just one or two things that lead to back pain. Your daily routines, postures and methods of resting all contribute to the development of back pain.

Determining what caused your back pain is the first step in treating it and preventing it from happening again.
